หลักการใช้ Present Simple Tense

1.ใช้กับเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำที่เป็นความจริงตลอดไปหรือเป็นความจริงตามธรรมชาติ เช่น

1. The sun rises in the east.( พระอาทิตย์ขึ้นทางทิศตะวันออก )

2. Fire is hot. ( ไฟร้อน )

2. ใช้กับการกระทำที่กระทำอยู่จนเป็นนิสัย มักจะมีกลุ่มคำที่มีความหมายว่า เสมอๆ บ่อยๆ ทุกๆ อยู่ด้วย เช่น

I get up at six o’clock every day. ( ฉันตื่นนอนเวลา 6 นาฬิกาทุกวัน )

He plays football every day. ( เขาเล่นฟุตบอลทุกวัน )

หลักการเติม s ที่คำกริยา

1. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย s, ss, sh, ch, o, หรือ x ให้เติม e ก่อนแล้วจึงเติม s เช่น

pass - passes = ผ่าน

brush - brushes = แปรงฟัน

catch - catches = จับ

go - goes = ไป

box - boxes = ชก

2. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะ ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น ie แล้วจึงเติม s เช่น

cry - cries = ร้องไห้

fry - fries = ทอด

try - tries = พยายาม

ข้อยกเว้น ถ้ากริยานั้นหน้า y เป็นสระ ให้เติม s ได้เลย เช่น

play - plays = เล่น

stay - stays = พัก

3. กริยาที่นอกเหนือจากที่กล่าวในข้อ 1 และ ข้อ 2 ให้เติม s ได้เลย

ประโยค Present Simple Tense เชิงบอกเล่า

โครงสร้าง : Subject + Verb 1 (s )

( ประธาน + กริยาช่องที่ 1 ( s ) )

( เมื่อประธานเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 หลังคำกริยาจะต้องเติม s )

ตัวอย่าง : 1. I go to school by car. (ฉันไปโรงเรียนโดยรถยนต์)

2. He walks to school. ( เขาเดินไปโรงเรียน )

3. You play football every day. ( คุณเล่นฟุตบอลทุกวัน )

4. Somsri and Somsak study English every day .( สมศรีและสมศักดิ์เรียนภาษาอังกฤษทุกวัน )

ประโยค Present Simple Tense เชิงปฏิเสธ

เมื่อต้องการแต่งประโยคใน Present Simple Tense ให้มีความหมายเชิงปฏิเสธ ทำได้ด้วยการใช้ Verb to do มาช่วย มีหลักการใช้ดังนี้

do ใช้กับประธานพหูพจน์ และ I กับ you

does ใช้กับประธานเอกพจน์ ซึ่งมีโครงสร้างดังนี้

โครงสร้าง : Subject + do / does + not + Verb 1

( ประธาน + do / does + not + กริยาช่องที่ 1 )

ตัวอย่าง : 1. I do not ( don’t ) go to school by car. ( ฉันไม่ไปโรงเรียนโดยรถยนต์ )

2. He does not ( doesn’t ) walk to school. ( เขาไม่เดินไปโรงเรียน )

3. You do not play football every day. ( คุณไม่เล่นฟุตบอลทุกวัน )

4. Somsri and Somsak do not study English every day .( สมศรีและสมศักดิ์ไม่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษทุกวัน )

ข้อสังเกต : เมื่อนำ does มาช่วยในประโยคแล้ว ต้องตัด s ออกด้วย

ประโยค Present Simple Tense เชิงคำถามและการตอบ

เมื่อต้องการแต่งประโยคใน Present Simple Tense ให้มีความหมายเชิงคำถาม ทำได้ด้วยการนำ do หรือ does มาวางไว้หน้าประโยค

และตอบด้วย Yes หรือ No ซึ่งมีโครงสร้างของประโยคดังนี้

โครงสร้าง : Do / Does + Subject + Verb 1 ?

( Do / Does + ประธาน + กริยาช่องที่ 1 )

ตัวอย่าง : 1. Does he walk to school ? (เขาเดินไปโรงเรียนใช่หรือไม่ )

-Yes, he does. ( ใช่ เขาเดินไปโรงเรียน )

-No, he doesn’t. ( ไม่ใช่ เขาไม่ได้เดินไปโรงเรียน )

2. Do you play football every day ? ( คุณเล่นฟุตบอลทุกวันใช่หรือไม่ )

-Yes, I do. ( ใช่ ฉันเล่นฟุตบอลทุกวัน )

-No, I don’t. ( ไม่ใช่ ฉันไม่ได้เล่นฟุตบอลทุกวัน )
